Ten~L Training - Training

The rate for training horses is $450 Per month, halter or driving training. Includes training clipping, grooming, feeding, bedding, light turnout. Our horses are worked at least five days a week. We have a variety of workouts to enhance our horses and to have them looking great. We use a round pen, hot walker with sand at a trot, driving arena, freestyle workouts, and a treadmill. I also train the horses to work beside a golf cart working up and down a slight incline.

I also "Catch Handle" a few select horses and the charges for handling are $35.00 at regular shows per class and 100.00 per class at nationals. The horse must be well groomed, fit, and of really good quality.

*Horses that I catch handle will not take precedence over any horses in training full time.

Ten Ls Patent Champagne and Lace received two National Top Tens in 2004 and is sired by Ten Ls Bullets Patent Pending and out of the mare Shirgarrs Sparkling Crystal. She is owned and bred by Joe and Laura Tennill.

Using a variety of workouts keep the horses from getting bored and will develop the muscles in specific areas according to the workout. We do turn out our show horses early morning or early evening to keep them happy and to have a little free time.

Grahams Calendar Girl, with her class and refinement, was the winning-est show horse on our show string last year and drew a lot of attention.

We strive to help our amateur and youth clients achieve the highest honors possible and had a great 2005 season with them.

MTC Sundial with Laura Tennill Driving! Sundial is owned by David and Sally Lee and Family and has been a phenomenal driving, halter and liberty horse for them. Sundial has won National Grand Champion Country Pleasure driving horse along with numerous Top Tens!

I take a few horses in for fall conditioning at $400.00 per month after Nationals.
Our daily rate at the shows is $70.00 per day of the show. Most of the shows we attend are 2 day shows, so this fee would be $140.00 and covers the cost of motel, grooms, food, bathing and the actual handling the horse in the classes. Owners are responsible for stall fees, entry fees, bedding at shows.
Owners are responsible for insurance, vet bills, ferrier care, and dental work.
We have done exceptionally well at the shows, developing numerous champions, National Top Ten's and National and Reserve and National Champions. We develop a horse at it's own pace, not rushing it, but taking it to its fullest capabilities, both mentally and physically. In regard to National shows only an extra clipping will be charged.

Our hauling fee are reasonable at $0.35 per mile, minimum of $40.00

Our board rate for horses is only $4.00 per day stall, or pasture.

$4.00 per day, stall or turnout.

Ten Ls Splendors Shes My Style -- is twice National Top Ten. This is a filly out of our twice Reserve National Champion, Ten Ls Bullet Buckeroo Flirtation, and sired by Schuberts bullets Painted Splendor. Ten Ls Shes My Style was 3rd at Nationals as a weanling. She is owned and bred by Joe and Laura Tennill.

All Sales

A 10% commission is charged on all horses sold by us and that are sold while in training here at Ten L Training Center.

We have had a very successful rate of sales on horses at Ten-L Training Center. We are very selective in the horses we sell, the horses must be of a good quality, pedigree, good health, and priced fairly.
